How to get here
By car
The Beskid 5 is easily accessible by car. Good transport infrastructure is what distinguishes our region from other mountain regions in Poland. If you want to get to Ustroń, Wisła or Istebna, it is best to take the national road 81 from Katowice – a dual carriage way which only becomes a one-lane road in Ustroń Polana. The distance from Katowice to Ustroń, Wisła and Istebna is, respectively, 68, 78 and 97 km. In order to get to Szczyrk, it is best to take a road from Bielsko-Biała (15 km); Szczyrk and Wisła are connected by a picturesque road going through the Salmopol Pass. In the winter, however, the choice of this way might may result in the necessity to use wheel chains. The easiest way to Brenna is to take the exit road to Brenna from the expressway S1. The exit road is halfway between Bielsko-Biała and Cieszyn.
By bus or coach (PKS)
Ustroń and Wisła are reachable by PKS coach or bus from Bielsko-Biała, Cieszyn, Katowice, Gliwice or Cracow. Buses to Brenna run mainly from Skoczów. To get to Istebna, Jaworzynka and Koniaków, you can take a direct bus from Cieszyn or change buses in Wisła. PKS buses running to Szczyrk mainly depart from Bielsko-Biała (they run through Bystra and Buczkowice), Żywiec and Katowice. There are transport agents other than PKS in and around Wisła, e.g. Wispol.
